Protective barrier: The oil forms a thin layer on the skin and creates a barrier between the razor blade and the surface of the skin. This barrier helps reduce friction, prevents the razor from dragging or pulling on the skin, and reduces the risk of nicks, cuts and burns.

1. Start with a clean face:
before applying pre-shave oil, make sure your face and beard are clean and free of dirt, oil or previous grooming products. You can wash your face with warm water or use a mild face wash.

2. Apply pre-shave oil:
spray a small amount of pre-shave oil into your palms. The amount depends on the length of your beard. Generally, a few drops should be enough for shorter beards, while longer beards may need a little more. Rub your hands together to distribute the oil evenly.

3. Massage into beard and skin:
gently massage the pre-shave oil into the beard and scalp. Ensure thorough coverage, making sure to inject the oil into the roots of the beard hair. The massaging action will help the oil to penetrate deeply and soften both the beard and the skin.

4. Allow the oil to absorb:
Wait a few minutes for the oil to absorb into your beard and skin before shaving. This will allow the moisturizing and conditioning ingredients to work their magic, softening the beard hair and creating a protective barrier for a smooth shave.

5. Apply shaving cream or gel (optional):
depending on your preference, you can apply a layer of shaving cream or gel over the pre-shave oil. The oil will act as a base, provide additional lubrication and protection during the shaving process.

6. Shave as usual:
after applying pre-shave oil and any additional shaving products, continue with your normal shaving routine. Use a sharp razor and gentle strokes.

7. Rinse thoroughly:
after shaving, wash your face thoroughly with warm water to remove any remaining oil, shaving cream or shaving dirt. Afterwards, rinse with cold water to close the pores and revitalize the skin.

8. Apply aftershave or moisturizer:
finish your care routine with an aftershave lotion or moisturizer to soothe and hydrate your skin. Look for products with ingredients like aloe vera or witch hazel to soothe any irritation and keep your skin looking its best.
